John and Phyllis Locke John D. Locke, a native of Covington County and Phyllis West were married November 25, 1953. They immediately moved to Petal, MS and raised two daughters there. They still call Petal home today. March 1964, they decided to begin Locke Exterminating Company; having the promise of only one $4.00 account and a 1956 Navy Surplus Chevrolet truck. Locke Exterminating has grown with time doing household pest control only. January 1, 2005 Locke Exterminating Inc. merged with Bug Master and they are now actively running 5 pest control routes. Locke Exterminating Inc. company currently employs John Locke, Steve Stringer as president, his wife Kim as secretary and 4 additional service personnel. The personnel includes: Matt Keeton, Michael Martin, Robbie Sanderford, and Sandy Watts. They now service a large portion of South Mississippi including: Petal, Lumberton, Beaumont, Richton, Hattiesburg, Purvis, New Augusta, Sanford, Seminary, Collins, Mize, Mt. Olive, Magee, and Braxton to name a few.
